» Hidden comments?
I'm not sure why, but going back through my matrix comments it seems a good number of them are hidden (and the same is true for a lot of other users).

Yes I have noticed this too, might be because the system doesn't require conformation when you flag an item. So people may accidentally click it.

» New / read comments?
Just to add some more work - would it be possible to add a way to show comments that you've already read vs. comments that are new? For example, if you go into a cluster you have all the mblogs listed, with comments numbered at the end. Can that number be (x+y), where x is the number of comments you've read and y is the new comments you have?

» Suggestion
Can't you just use a sparse binary matrix, where the columns are the user_id and the rows are the comment_id (or vise versa)?
So that if user_3 has read comment_1,2 & 5. Then the column 3 would only have ones in row 1,2 and 5. Then you could just ask how many of these comments within mblog x are marked 1 for this user. (of course you would have to have a table over what comments are within each mblog)

» Avatar problem
See you have fixed one problem with the avatars on the cluster pages. Because now the correct one
comes under the cluster name at the top, however a new error has appeared.
In the cluster member area, if you are not the creator, you get the old avatar. For example,
I can see you old avatar on clusters like [link].

Edit:
Also on the on the bottom of the blog.asp pages
under the My Other Media-Blogs entries in this category, the old avatar is used.
For example: http://www.firingsquad.com/matrix/blog.asp/39357/361/

Another little one -

When you add someone to your friend list or join a cluster, it goes to the processing / confirmation screen and stops there, so you have to then tell it where to go. Instead, it'd be nice if you could approve a friend or join a cluster, see the processing screen, then 5-10 seconds later be redirected to your previous page.

Just something I've noticed - a lot of conversations seem to go more than 3 replies deep, so people have to reply to a previous comment, throwing out the whole hierarchy system of it all. Not sure on what an alternative would be, but might be something to think about.

EDIT: Oh, and a lot of people (including myself) seem to be putting in smileys. Any chance of a few of the basic images being put in to replace the usual :) ;) etc...?

I agree and about the smilies just create new
Tags, like :)[] and ;)[] that would be easiest.

You could even get away with text replacements on :) and ;) by default... It's more natural for sad people like me who use them all the time.

Sure, I just feel sorry for Ponkey, they are working him too hard.
Anyway while on subject of new features, why not add a PM system like you have on the forums.
