| | I wasn't going to pick this up until I loaded the demo and found out how fucking cool the zombie gore is now. You can seriously take individual chunks out of zombies and the graphics have been brought up a notch. Hacking off heads with the machete is way too much fun. Flag this | Edit this post |

| This game is really fantastic. But there is a rather long list of things to tweak to get it up and working flawlessly. The review mentions FOV and text-scrolling, but I also had to disable VOIP in the config so I could use Ventrillo with my friends without my voice doubling up on people. The in game VOIP has no toggle, it's just always on. Also, the amount of ports you have to forward to get a private game working is insane. Gamespy is the devil.
After all the tweaking to get things just right, Borderlands is really fucking fun and I haven't been able to stop playing it. But honestly some of the options are really basic and I have to wonder what they were thinking not including them. Flag this | Edit this post |

| From TFA:
"...one thing stands out: the gallant mansion reduced to rubble doesn’t belong to some crazed separatist dictator hellbent on all kinds of nefarious acts. Instead, it’s the White House."
Buahahaha! Under our previous pres this would have been quite an ironic statement. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I have had very good results overclocking my CPUs across generations with the Zalman 9500a. Games run very smooth at highest details with no crashes at overclocked settings. There are certainly other coolers to buy at that price range. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Right now I have a Zalman 9500A in my home machine. I'm cheap, but this is one of the best air coolers money can buy, honestly. The funniest part about this HSF to me was that it's compatible with Intel sockets as well as AMD, so when I opened the package all of this extra bracketing bullshit fell out and I'm like, wtf is all this shit for?? | Wow, another retarded mounting scheme. The push pins are to blame for the most frustrating mounts I've ever done (luckily I haven't had to work with too many Intel machines) so I was almost excited until I read the part about removing your motherboard to mount the cooler. Uhm, what?
AMD sockets are so fucking easy to mount by comparison it's not even funny. Clip, handle, done. It takes like 2 seconds. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | The DX11 shots seem to have a bit more pop to them, in overall contrast and detail. If you put them side by side it's a lot easier to see. Like the detail on the tree trunk. The DX10.1 screens appear slightly muddier by comparison. Flag this | Edit this post |

| Which part am I wrong about? Am I wrong about how playing FPS/sim games with a monitor setup that forces the crosshair to fall on a bevel would blow, or the part where playing on your 5x1 setup would be pointless? Either scenario would be fairly disorienting in my opinion.
I'd like to point out I never said 3 displays wouldn't work.. Flag this | Edit this post |
